Materials Needed
- Motion sensor light (additional batteries and mounting hardware)
- High-power floodlight
- Alarm siren
- Wireless camera (if desired)
- Hook and eye screws (for mounting)
- Small business card size sheet metal
- Tools (wire strippers, screwdrivers, drill)
Step 1: Install the Motion Sensor Light
The first step to creating a DIY perimeter alarm is to install a motion sensor light on the outside of your home or camp. The motion sensor light will detect any movement in its vicinity and turn on when motion is detected. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installation.
Step 2: Install the Alarm Siren
