MIRA Safety Gas Mask Microphone (CM-6M, CM-7M, CM-8M, & TAPR) Review
We recently had the opportunity to try out MIRA Safety’s Gas Mask Microphone (CM-6M, CM-7M, CM-8M, & TAPR). As a brand-new product from MIRA Safety, we decided it was worth a review.
Let’s start with the basics. The main purpose of the MIRA Safety Gas Mask Microphone is to allow for clear communication in hazardous environments. It’s designed to be used with any gas mask or respirator system, and can connect to radios, intercoms, and other external audio devices.
First Impressions
Upon inspecting the hardware, we found it to be quite rugged and well-built. The CM-8M variant is made from high-impact, abrasion-resistant polyethylene with overmolded rubber gaskets for durability. It’s also IP-67 rated for water and dust resistance.
The TAPR model has a similar construction to the CM-8M, but it adds an additional layer of protection against impacts with a shock-absorbing foam liner.
We weren’t sure what to expect with the audio quality, but it certainly exceeded our expectations. The sound was crystal clear and had a decent range. We tested it in both quiet and noisy environments, and the sound quality was consistent in both.
Pricing and Availability
The MIRA Safety Gas Mask Microphone (CM-6M, CM-7M, CM-8M, & TAPR) range retail from $99.99 to $152.99 depending on the variant. All models are available from MIRA Safety’s official website. They are also available from Amazon with free shipping.
Final Thoughts
The MIRA Safety Gas Mask Microphone is a great product with plenty of benefits for users. It’s durable, easy to use, and provides excellent sound quality. It’s perfect for hazardous environments where traditional communication methods cannot be used.
For these reasons, we’d definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable communication solution.
