Avoid placing your plants too close to air conditioning units as this can dry out the air.


Peppers prefer a temperature range of 65-85 degrees Fahrenheit. During the day, the temperature can be higher as long as it doesn’t exceed 85 degrees, and during the night, it should typically stay above 65 degrees. Keeping the temperature too low can hinder the growth of your plants.


Choose a soil that is light, airy, and well draining. A combination of potting soil, compost, and perlite can provide a good balance for your pepper plants. Make sure to always keep the soil moist but not soggy, as peppers don’t like to be over-watered.


Fertilize your peppers with a balanced fertilizer every two weeks in order to provide the necessary nutrients for optimal growth.


Pruning pepper plants can help to promote growth and maximize yield. Remove any dead or diseased leaves, as well as any flowers that come before fruiting. Prune around the main stem and side branches to open up the plant, allowing light to reach lower leaves.


Harvest your peppers when they are fully ripe by cutting them off from the stem. Un-ripened peppers can be left on the plant until ready. Make sure to harvest your peppers regularly as this can help encourage more growth.
